Crouse Clocktower Café

Syracuse, NY

Client: Crouse Health

Size: 6,000 sq. ft.

The Crouse Clocktower Café renovation gave one of Crouse Health’s most frequented spaces a long-overdue transformation, reimagining a dining environment that had gone decades without meaningful updates. Over the course of approximately four and a half months, Hayner Hoyt delivered a comprehensive 6,000-square-foot renovation that included extensive demolition, new mechanical systems, modern lighting, refined finishes, a state-of-the-art kitchen, and new café seating, elevating the daily dining experience for hospital staff, patients, families, and visitors alike.

Executing the project within an active, 24/7 hospital environment required careful planning and a disciplined approach to sequencing. Because the Clocktower Café serves as a critical amenity for staff and patients, the Hayner Hoyt team maintained kitchen operations throughout construction, completing the most disruptive work during nights and off-hours to minimize impact on hospital life. The finished space reflects the quality of care Crouse Health is known for, delivering a modernized, welcoming gathering place at the heart of the hospital campus.
