The Lake House at Sylvan Beach

Sylvan Beach

Client: Turning Stone Enterprises

Size: 4,200 sq. ft.

Partner: Dalpos Architects

The Lake House at Sylvan Beach reimagined the former DiCastro’s Private Beach Club as a premier waterfront entertainment destination for Turning Stone Enterprises and the Oneida Indian Nation. Designed by Dalpos Architects and delivered by Hayner Hoyt in roughly seven months, the project transformed an aging restaurant and event venue into a fully realized lakefront experience, complete with 100 slot machines, indoor and outdoor dining, three bars, an expansive patio, a dedicated outdoor live entertainment area, and a striking 50-foot lighthouse that anchors the property’s nautical theme.

Built on Schedule, Built to Last

The renovation was completed during the height of the coronavirus pandemic, requiring careful coordination of trades, materials, and safety protocols to keep the project on schedule despite a continually shifting environment. The result is a destination venue that takes full advantage of its prime beachfront setting on Oneida Lake, expanding the Nation’s entertainment footprint beyond the resort campus and offering Central New York a year-round gathering place that celebrates the region’s lakeside character.
