In July 2009, The Hayner Hoyt Corporation was retained by Syracuse University to create an all new experience in the Carrier Dome. The project involved complex logistics and an exceptionally compressed schedule. We worked with the Athletic Department to construct, relocate, and renovate the Carrier Dome Management Offices, as well as build a new exclusive bar lounge and expanded Orange Shoppe.
Club 44 is a 3,000sqft Manhattan-style nightclub and lounge that services members-only in its upscale atmosphere. Construction of the space occurred in two phases, the first taking just eight weeks to complete. The Carrier Dome and its stadium provided the industrial backdrop for the space. Steel and concrete were used as primary construction materials, and aluminum plank flooring around the bar reflects the light generated by LED light boxes.
Hayner Hoyt completed all phases of Club 44 on time and under budget despite logistical challenges and long-lead materials.
