St. Francis Commons at St. Lukes Health Services

Client: St. Lukes Health Services

Size: 60,000 sq. ft.

Partner: Schopfer Architects, LLP

St. Francis Commons is a 60,000-square-foot, single-story residence built by Hayner Hoyt for St. Luke Health Services on the organization’s healthcare campus in Oswego. Designed by Schopfer Architects, the facility advances St. Luke’s mission to provide supportive housing and home-care services to medically eligible individuals who benefit most from a community-based living environment. The new construction accommodates approximately sixty residents across a thoughtful mix of private and semi-private rooms, balancing personal space with the daily connection that defines life in a true community.

The project encompassed full site development, including site work, landscaping, foundations, slab-on-grade, and EPDM roofing, alongside complete interior finishes, specialties, kitchen equipment, and full MEP systems. Particular attention was given to the great room, where a faux-stone fireplace anchors a warm, home-like gathering space designed for residents and visiting family alike. Together, these details reflect the care Hayner Hoyt brings to projects where the built environment directly shapes the quality of life of those who live and work within it.
